Debashree Chakroborty is the winner of Mrs India Divine Diva, Empress of the Nation 2019. Having a penchant towards fashion from childhood, the crown transformed her life from being a corporate employee to a fashion visionary.
She realized that winning a crown is not just an achievement but a responsibility by itself.
The crown has a voice of its own and it can reach to millions. It has strength and power to bring a change into the society and the mindset of the people, to inspiEmpress of the Nation , to rediscover a new person within. With such an ideology, she embarked her journey into the fashion world.
She is an inspiration to many women for fulfilling their dreams. She has proven and strongly spreaded the message of being focused on one's goal and push oneself to complete the journey, to be proud & confident about being a woman.
After being crowned Mrs India Divine Diva, her dreams to bring out a new personality and inspire people for a fresh outlook on fashion and beauty grew stronger. She attended many shows and events as celebrity guest, show stopper, grand jury, chief guest etc. She was the grooming mentor, choreographer, show director, grand jury and show designer for a destination pageant Mrs Maharashtra India, in 2020 and was highly appreciated by the media for putting up a grand show by overcoming the barriers of language. Fashion has a language of its own and she proved it on stage. She is also part of a renowned international pageant as a Director and many freelance pageants.
Debashree is a trained classical Kathak dancer and an avid photographer focusing on documentaries and fashion. She has performed and choreographed many dance programs.
Some of her photographs were exhibited as well, the most prestigious was for the Calcutta Journalist Club exhibition 2018 & 2022. She was awarded for her documentary photography for Art &Culture of West Bengal. Her images are regularly published in print media. She was awarded Maa Durga Sanmaan Award 2022 for best female photographer.
She is also the state president of entertainment and media council of WICCI (Women's Indian chamber of commerce and Industry). Along with such skills and talents, she has embarked her journey into entrepreneurship as well.
She has successfully launched her own national level beauty pageant for women, Miss &Mrs Persona of India, held in prestigious Hyatt Regency, Kolkata, India from 16th to 18th December 2O21. The pageant got huge appreciation & acknowledged by media and eminent socialites for its unique concept and mission, to make a mark for presenting the beauty of a personality with a very true social cause. The event was graced by the presence of eminent socialites &celebrities. The winners were a 72 yr old housewife, a lawyer and a corporate team leader. None of the participants were from fashion background and thats were Debashree made a difference for the likes, strength and dreams of a woman.
As a social stand and commitment, for the first time in India, Debashree gave an all inclusive, fully paid up pageant opportunity to a young lady facing severe financial crisis but with talent and desire to succeed in the fashion world. The young lady is the daughter of a mason, a daily wage earner. Along with her, two more candidates got free entry for runway walk. This huge opportunity for financially weaker candidates was highly praised by the media and guests. Going forward, Debashree will give such an opportunity, in every season, to one such candidate so that wider sections of society can be enriched to a greater extent by including fashion in a causative manner. In coming days she has plans to further the cause through various events and initiatives.
She visited one of the remote villages of Sundarbans,India, ravaged by the cyclone Amphaan, as part of a relief camp to help the locals with food and provisions.
She also supported organ donation causes. She choregraphed acid victims for free, supporting their establishment in society as equals.
She was the chief guest in West Bengal Short Film Festival 2022.
She was awarded the Indian Woman Achiever Award 2022, as pageant groomer and Glam &Bizz award 2023 which was held in Mumbai. In her recent achievements she got global recognition for her social contributions and nominated as outstanding photographer ,Choreographer &pageant coach for Platinum Global Award from United States in 2023 in March, Las Vegas.
